The North County Adult Day Center has moved to a new, larger location in Paso Robles, according to a news release from the organization.

Run by the nonprofit Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, the facility had operated in Templeton since 2004.

Its programs serve clients with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia with the goal of keeping them as active and independent as possible.

“While the licensing didn’t change when the site moved from the old space in Templeton to the new space, the new Paso Robles space is bigger and better suited for the increase we’ve seen in enrolled clients,” said Bryn Smith, a program development specialist with the organization.

Currently, the center has 36 clients enrolled — twice as many as last year, she added.

The day center currently has four employees and one on-call substitute.

An open house is planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday at the new location, 1345 Oak St., with a ribbon-cutting by the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce to follow at 4:45 p.m.
