Cal Poly's Andre Dome knocks off nation's No. 4 singles player in men's tennis

Cal Poly’s Andre Dome swept the nation’s fourth-ranked singles player in the Mustangs’ 4-3 loss to Princeton on Sunday.

Dome beat Matija Pecotic 6-2, 6-2. It was Dome’s seventh straight win.

Marco Comuzzo and Derek Klein also picked up singles wins for the Mustangs (6-5).

Comuzzo also won a doubles set, teaming with Matt Thomson to beat Matt Spindler and Dan Davies.

Princeton (10-3) won its seventh consecutive dual.

The Wildcats swept the Mustangs in a match at Fresno State.

Freshman Louise Oxnevad lost 6-2, 6-3 to 15th-ranked Petra Niedermayerova in singles, and freshman Anna Klavins lost to Carmen Borau Ramos 6-0, 7-5.
