Elijah Holt runs PR in hurdles at Thousand Oaks meet

Elijah Holt ran a personal-record and won the boys 110-meter hurdles in 14.38 seconds for the Arroyo Grande High track team at the Maurice Greene Invitational in Thousand Oaks on Saturday.

Joey Reeves was second in the boys pole vault at 14 feet, 6 inches for the Eagles, and Arroyo Grande won the team pole vault trophy with the highest combined team total. The other two contributing vaulters were Anthony Cecchi and James Jarvis.

Trevor Cowan had a PR and finished in third for the Eagles in the 1,600 (4:31.6), and also placed third in the 3,200 (9:49).

On the girls side, Madison Jacobs won the discus (145-8) and was second in the shot put (41-10), and Sarah Freeman finished in third in the discus (123-1) for Arroyo Grande.

Alex Mero won the high jump (5-4), and Jocelyn Reynolds was third in the 1,600 (5:19) and 3,200 (11:43) for the Eagles.

Cal Poly Invitational

San Luis Obispo’s Connor Hall set one of the top marks in the state and a school record in the boys pole vault, placing second at 16-1.

Kelsey Harper set a school record in the girls 400 hurdles in 1:10.0, ran a 15.6 in the 100 hurdles and went 17-4 in the long jump.
