Friday night car crash in Los Osos sends infant to hospital

A drunk driver slammed into two cars Friday night in Los Osos, causing a small pile up that sent an infant to the hospital with major injuries, according to the a press release from the CHP.

The incident took place on South Bay Blvd. at Santa Ysabel Ave. at 9:19 p.m. when Julio Padilla, 23, allegedly failed to see two cars stopped at a stoplight.

The four-month-old had serious injuries and was sent to Children’s Hospital of the Central Valley. Two injured adults were sent to local hospitals.

Padilla was arrested.

Everyone involved is from Los Osos.
