It is time to spring forward with our clocks as daylight-saving time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday.
Clocks will be moved from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. The change to daylight saving occurs the second Sunday of March.
The hour gets returned on the first Sunday of November, when Americans fall back an hour to standard time. This year the change happens on Nov. 3.
This is also the week when fire departments remind us to check batteries in our smoke detectors and replace them, if necessary. Working smoke detectors can greatly increase the chances of fleeing from any flames that break out, firefighters say.
