As a supporter of Sheriff Ian Parkinson, I was disappointed to hear him say that if gun control laws were passed he would not enforce them.

Sheriff Parkinson, you are not at liberty to decide which laws you will or will not enforce. You are not a legislator; you are in the law enforcement business.

If the time ever comes when your ideology prevents you from enforcing a law, you must promptly resign. You would not be doing the job we elected you to do.
