Update: The man who was found dead March 2 in a Morro Bay Rite Aid parking lot has been identified as Richard Edwin Engh, 82, a transient from Morro Bay.

The Sheriff's Office doesn't suspect foul play in Engh's death; an autopsy is planned for Wednesday.

Original: A dead person was found in a parked vehicle near Rite Aid on Quintana Road in Morro Bay on Saturday, according to a daily log released by the Morro Bay Police Department.

Police did not elaborate Sunday about the circumstances of the discovery or the death.

A spokesman for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office said the coroner is investigating the death and a name will be released when next of kin is notified.
