I agree with Bob Cuddys assessment in his column about the current SLO County Board of Supervisors.
In my more than 40 years of following the board, Ive never seen such a level of hostility and vitriol leveled at a board.
Mr. Cuddy certainly nailed it when he said a major contributor to the poisonous atmosphere is the parade of folks criticizing Supervisor Bruce Gibson for his affair. (Do they remember who said, He who is without sin cast the first stone?)
This atmosphere seems to bring out the worst in many people; they abuse their right to free speech by lecturing the board as if they were a bunch of third-graders, and they often do so with a lack of civility and decorum.
I thank Mr. Cuddy for expressing what many of us old-timers agree needed to be said.
