Paso Robles police have identified the man killed in a weekend shooting as Victor Hugo Sanchez, 37.

According to Lt. Ty Lewis, Sanchez's death "was the likely result of apparent gunshot wounds, however, an autopsy is pending."

Sanchez was shot Saturday outside an apartment complex in the 3100 block of Spring Street. The shooting was reported to police at 9:27 p.m. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene at 9:33 p.m., but Sanchez had already died as a result of his injuries, Lewis said.
