Arroyo Grande City Council. Meets Tuesday. 473-5400. Consider community development block grant projects for 2013; report from Five Cities Fire Authority on its proposal to form a special district to raise additional funds for fire protection services; consider establishing a business improvement district (in which hoteliers agree to collect a monthly assessment from hotel room receipts) to raise money for tourism marketing; provide input on whether the South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District board should increase to five members and rotate its meeting location.

Atascadero City Council. Meets Tuesday. 461-5000. Recess for a joint special meeting with the City Council and Planning Commission on whether there’s enough work complete to begin a lengthy study on how the 3,000-acre Eagle Ranch development on the city’s southwest side could impact Atascadero. Regular meeting: $529,000 contract to G. Sosa Construction, Inc. for landscape work on the historic City Hall project; Planning Commission term changes; adopting the county’s aggressive animal ordinance.

County Board of Supervisors. Meets Tuesday. 781-5011. Permit allowing 10 percent increase of crude oil throughput at Phillips Conoco refinery in Nipomo; consider county’s 2013 state legislative platform; consider warming center for the homeless in Arroyo Grande; accepting donation of land in the Pirates Cove area of Avila Beach.

Grover Beach City Council. Meets today. 473-4567. Consider report and provide direction to Five Cities Fire Authority, which proposes to raise additional money for fire protection through a special district; interview 12 applicants for City Council vacancy and make appointment.

Nipomo Community Services District. Meets Wednesday. 929-1133. Receive report from Supplemental Water Alternatives Evaluation Committee on ways to bring more water to Nipomo; consider reversing district policy and allowing for processing of new applications for water service; review district strategic plan.

Oceano Community Services District. Meets Wednesday. 481-6730. Consider report and provide direction to Five Cities Fire Authority, which proposes to raise additional money for fire protection through a special district; provide input on whether the South San Luis Obispo County Sanitation District board should increase to five members and rotate its meeting location.

Paso Robles Planning Commission. Meets Tuesday. 237-3888. Application filed by Brad Vernon proposing to subdivide a 1-acre site into 14 lots for townhomes at 514 38th St.; construction of a barrel and case storage building for Justin Vineyard & Winery Inc.; status report on the city’s blueprint for growth.

Port San Luis Harbor District. Meets Tuesday. 595-5400. Review of proposed changes to fee schedule; review of mid-year budget.
