Jurors will be called in to court next week for initial screenings in the Dystiny Myers murder trial, a judge said Thursday.
After other defendants in the case agreed to plea bargains, two defendants a mother and a son are set for trial. Both Rhonda Maye Wisto and Frank Jacob York are facing murder charges related to the September 2010 death of Myers, who was 15 when her partially burned body was found in Santa Margarita.
During a brief trial readiness conference Thursday, Superior Court Judge Barry LaBarbera said the voir dire process, in which jurors are questioned by attorneys, will begin March 4. The trial is expected to last four weeks.
