The Cal Poly women’s swimming and diving team moved up to fifth place out of eight schools in the MPSF finals after being in seventh place at the conclusion of the first day Wednesday.
The Mustangs have 132 points in the four-day meet. Hawaii leads with 240 points, followed by UC Davis with 229 and defending conference champion BYU with 216.
Cal Poly senior Rachel O’Brien placed third in the 200-yard IM in 2 minutes, 1.73 second.
The 200 freestyle relay team of Andrea Voigt, Rachel Cleak, Kelsey Engel and Jillian Jones. scored 26 points by finishing sixth place.
In the 1-meter diving competition, Sami McIntyre was seventh with a score of 226.75. Grace Greenwood was 10th with 238.7, and Meaghan O’Meara was 12th with 234.05.
