Cuesta College’s Oscar Pedroso was named the Western State Conference Player of the Week for men’s basketball after scoring 54 points and grabbing 22 rebounds in two games for the Cougars last week.
Pedroso, a freshman guard from Porto, Portugal, scored 33 points, had 11 rebounds and three assists in a 27-point comeback for Cuesta in a 105-103 overtime win at Allan Hancock on Saturday.
Cuesta baseball game rained out
Cuesta’s Tuesday home baseball game against Hartnell was rained out. It will be made up at 2 p.m. Feb. 26.
