Flatebo has hat trick to help Arroyo Grande girls soccer team win

Published: February 19, 2013

Mallory Flatebo had a hat trick, including the game-winning goal in overtime, as the Arroyo Grande High girls soccer team rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit Tuesday to beat Pacifica 3-2 in overtime to advance to the quarterfinals of the Division 3 playoffs.

Flatebo scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half, first on an assist by Nadine Reed and later on an assist from Lupita Leon.

In sudden-death overtime, Flatebo converted an Alyssa Nevis cross to give Arroyo Grande (18-1-6) the win.

The Eagles, the PAC 7 champions, will face Oaks Christian in Thousand Oaks on Thursday at 5 p.m.
