I have lived in Atascadero almost 40 years, and have seen many businesses come and go, the most recent one our Hallmark store. There are many empty buildings. If it takes banners, signs or sandwich boards to get customers into our remaining stores, I say go for it!
Personally, I think it makes the downtown rather colorful.
