Assistance League

San Luis Obispo CountyFebruary 13, 2013

Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County has again been fortunate to receive a grant from Central Coast Funds for Children for 2013. The $5,000 grant will go to support our philanthropic program, Operation School Bell and its subprogram, Sue’s Stars.

Operation School Bell provides new school clothing to children in need from kindergarten through eighth grades. The K-5 students are clothed at our two Operation School Bell sites. The older students are clothed in a retail shopping experience at Old Navy and Kohl’s.

This school year, our all-volunteer organization has clothed, to date, 1,412 children in need in our county.

We could not do this meaningful work without the generous support of individual donors and the many organizations, public and private, in our community. Central Coast Funds for Children exemplifies the good work done by local nonprofits. Receiving a grant from Central Coast Funds for Children is a validation of one’s mission and success to all in our community.

Thank you to Central Coast Funds for Children for continuing to support our efforts to “make a difference.”
