Rural Arroyo Grande residents will meet at Branch Elementary School on Wednesday at 6 p.m. to discuss the future of a creek crossing on Cecchetti Road.
The county closed the crossing in January, and residents want it re-opened.
County officials said they closed the crossing over Arroyo Grande Creek because it can no longer support traffic.
The crossing is 1,000 feet south of Lopez Drive, and its closure has forced motorists including many who take their children to Branch Elementary to take long detours.
