Small businesses like mine are the lifeblood of our national economy. I’m proud to be able to contribute to San Luis Obispo’s economy by employing workers and buying goods and services from my fellow small-business owners.
As Congress considers tax reform during the 2013 Congress, it is critical that Lois Capps, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein keep our needs in mind.
That’s why I’m heading to Washington, D.C., today for a “fly-in” organized by CompTIA and its grassroots advocacy network, TechVoice, who advocate on behalf of the IT community. I want to make sure our leaders understand that tax reform should not disproportionately impact small businesses.
Any new tax provisions should also work to support innovation and the cutting-edge thinking that takes place at small businesses by promoting policies that help small businesses like mine gain access to capital.
