Regarding the decision on the Spanish Springs project, I would urge the Pismo Beach City Council members (and anyone else who might be on the fence on this issue) to do the following two things:
1. Spend some time any day Monday through Friday on Price Canyon Road between 4 and 6 p.m., and notice the traffic load. Then multiply it by four. That will give you an idea of the unexpected consequences this expansion will bring.
2. Spend some time at the proposed home sites when there is a gentle breeze blowing south. Take a whiff of that sulfur smell that the new homeowners will be enjoying from the oil wells across the street from this project. I hope the sellers of these homes disclose this fact to potential buyers, as required by law.
Come on, folks. This nightmare of a project has future problems written all over it.
