Mission Prep boys basketball team rolls to win in season finale

Quinton Adlesh had 19 points and five assists to lead the Mission Prep boys basketball team to a 54-38 victory over visiting Pacific Grove in San Luis Obispo on Saturday.

Andy Rowley had 10 points, and Connor Woolpert had seven points and seven rebounds for the Royals, who finished their season at 18-7.

Mission Prep held a 15-7 lead after the first quarter and a 30-16 lead at halftime before cruising to victory.

Ben Covington had six points, and Evan Talbert added five for the Royals.

Kevin Russo had a team-high 11 points for Pacific Grove, and Miles Cutchen added eight.

Arroyo Grande at California State Indoor Invitational Qualifiers

The Eagles had three athletes qualify for the California State Indoor Invitational after a qualifying meet in Kingsburg.

Elijah Holt won the boys 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.74 seconds.

In the boys pole vault, Joey Reeves finished first by clearing a personal best 15 feet, 6 inches.

Arroyo Grande’s Christine Moreno finished second in the girls 550 meters in a time of 1:35.17.
The invitational meet will be held in Fresno on Feb. 18.
