The ongoing hunt for Christopher Dorner, the former Los Angeles police officer suspected of going on a deadly rampage in Southern California, and fear for officers safety has led to the cancellation of Mondays Blue Mass that had been scheduled at Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa to honor community safety professionals.
Heads of law enforcement throughout San Luis Obispo County requested that the Mass be postponed, and both the Bishop of Monterey Dioceses and the Pastor of Old Mission San Luis Obispo agreed to honor the request, according to a news release.
The Mass will be rescheduled.
