Knowing it was to be cut, it eventually grew to 10 inches below my ears on the sides, and 15 inches in back. Way too long, and not so becoming on a 71-year-old, no matter how popular the length is currently. I am, after all, looking forward to having my customary shoulder-length flip or page boy.
