Just this past November, Teach Elementary School was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School and received a Congressional Award of Excellence. There is no mention of that in the Tribune’s front-page article Sunday nor in Superintendent Eric Prater’s planned presentation for the school board’s consideration tonight.
As Congresswoman Lois Capps stated in presenting this coveted Congressional Award, we must invest in high quality education, “recognize and replicate” these schools. How misguided for this school board to propose diminishing Teach School in any way. Find a solution to the traffic and parking issue and support the teachers and parents of Teach School.
