I feel fortunate to live in San Luis Obispo for many reasons: my friends, the climate, the open spaces, the access to colleges and libraries. Last Tuesday afternoon, I experienced, still again, another benefit of this county: the quality of our citizens. I thoughtlessly left my wallet in a shopping cart outside of Bed Bath & Beyond and did not miss it until the next morning.

An early call, before business hours, established that a kind, honest soul had turned in the wallet to the equally kind, honest staff members at the store and it was soon restored to me intact. Thank you to all concerned. Bravo for SLO!
