A fire destroyed a home in Nipomo early Sunday morning, a spokesman for Cal Fire has confirmed.
At 7:16 a.m., Cal Fire and the Santa Maria Fire Department responded to a report of fire at 1080 E. Vintage Street in Nipomo.
Responders made an aggressive attempt to contain the fire to the home’s kitchen and garage, but the damage is consistent with a “total loss” of the home, Cal Fire said. No injuries were reported.
As of Sunday afternoon, the family was being assisted by Red Cross to find temporary shelter. Their names were not released. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
