Cal Poly loses to USC in men's tennis

The Cal Poly tennis team faced six nationally ranked players on Tuesday in a 7-0 loss at No. 2-ranked USC in Los Angeles.

The Trojans’ Emilio Gomez, ranked nationally at No. 10, defeated Andre Dome 6-2, 6-2, Roberto Quiroz defeated the Mustangs’ Marco Comuzzo 6-1, 6-1 Max De Vroome defeated Cal Poly’s Derek Klein 6-3, 6-4.

The loss dropped the Mustangs to 2-2 in dual matches this season.

Dome and doubles partner Jordan Bridge were winning their match against Gomez and Eric Johnson 

7-5, but the matche was called after USC won the other two doubles pairings.
