Atascadero High boys basketball beat visiting San Luis Obispo High 66-49 on Friday night behind Robbie Berwick’s game-high 16 points and four assists.
Brady Youngquist had 13 points, four rebounds and four steals, and Jared Stuedemann had 12 points for the Greyhounds (12-8, 5-2 PAC 7).
Connor Kim added eight points for Atascadero, which is tied for second place in the PAC 7 with St. Joseph.
The Tigers (7-14, 2-6) were led by David Thoresen with 14 points, and Kwab Farkye with 12.
Paso Robles 66, Pioneer Valley 50
Josh Wilson-Murry scored 21 for the Bearcats in their home win.
Jaylon Davis scored 16 points, and Rudy Binkele added 11 points for Paso Robles (6-15, 2-6 PAC 7).
Andrew Madrigal had a team-high 21 points for the Panthers (3-16, 1-7).
Mission Prep 53, St. Joseph 50
Connor Woolpert hit a 3-pointer with 1 minute, 45 seconds remaining to give the Royals (15-7) their first lead of the game in the nonleague matchup in Santa Maria.
Trailing 51-48, Curry Parham went to the line for three free throws and a chance to tie the score for St. Joseph. Parham made the first two, but a miss on his final attempt led to two Andy Rowley free throws that sealed the victory for Mission Prep.
Rowley had 14 points, Quinton Adlesh had 10 points, six rebounds and four steals and Woolpert had nine points for the Royals.
Templeton 63, Santa Maria 57
Andy Garretson scored 28 points and had seven rebounds for the Eagles in their win in Santa Maria.
Clark Burton scored 14 points for Templeton (11-8, 5-3 Los Padres League),
and Alex Elterman added nine. Aiden Sarbeck led the Eagles with 10 rebounds.
Cabrillo 61, Morro Bay 51
The Conquistadores broke open a close game by outscoring the Pirates 22-13 in the fourth quarter.
Joshua Harris had 23 points, and Chad Brodhead had 17 for Cabrillo.
Elijah Lampley led Morro Bay (9-13, 3-5 LPL) with 22 points. Luke Munds had 13, and Xavier Alfaro added 10.
Nipomo 46, Santa Ynez 40
Kaileb Mendez scored a game-high 17 points for the Titans in the LPL matchup.
Luke Nickelson added nine for Nipomo (1-7 LPL).
Valley Christian 76, North Co. Christian 25
Valley Christian (14-5, 9-0 Coast Valley League) rolled to a 46-12 halftime lead behind Malec Taylor’s game-highs with 23 points and 15 rebounds.
Christian Wisberg led North County Christian (3-12, 2-7) with 10 points. Nolan Cannon had eight rebounds, and Nathan Cedillo had six points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
