A 55-year-old transient has been arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault in connection with attacks on a trio of residents in downtown San Luis Obispo on Jan. 10.

Timothy Coleck has been in custody since Jan. 11 in an unrelated case, also an assault, dating to Sept. 18.

Police say he punched a woman who was walking on Garden Street on Jan. 10, and later spit fluid into the faces of two other women, one of whom had a child with her.

All the cases have been sent to the District Attorney’s office.
