Committee members needed to oversee Templeton school bond spending

Published: January 24, 2013

Templeton Unified School District is seeking individuals who live within the school district boundaries to serve on a new committee to oversee the $35 million bond Templeton voters approved in November, according to a news release.

Members on the seven-member committee would serve three-year terms to oversee bond expenditures for replacing portable classrooms, fixing school buildings and making other school improvements.

The deadline to apply is noon, Feb. 6.

Applications are available online at tusd.ca.schoolloop.com or at the district office, 960 Old County Road.

By law, the committee needs to have at least one member each representing the Templeton business community, a senior citizens group, a taxpayers group, a parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian active in a parent organization, the news release said.

For more information, call Cheryl Parks in the superintendent’s office at 434-5805.
