Garrison Keillor

Homespun humorist Garrison Keillor is coming back to the Central Coast.

Best known as the host of public radio shows "A Prairie Home Companion" and "The Writer's Almanac," Keillor is a prolific author, essayist and performer whose wry humor and warm baritone have made him an American icon. He was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1994.

He’s also a frequent visitor to San Luis Obispo, having performed with the San Luis Obispo Symphony in 2002 and staged a live broadcast of “A Prairie Home Companion” at the Performing Arts Center in 2003. Keillor returned to the venue in 2007 and 2009.

Keillor will share his folksy anecdotes and witty observations during a Feb. 13 solo appearance at the Cohan Center. Tickets cost $30 to $78.
