The Cambria Community Services District is buying washing machines for a private business in order to save water and receive water-saving points?
If we started another laundromat in town, would we get free water-saving machines, too? Will the district provide a new water-saving washer to every household in Cambria? We could then lead the nation in points, redeemable in some murky future.
What about other businesses and their needs? The business people on the Community Services District Board don’t seem to understand or care about the residents and their needs or expenses. By the way, when the district says the bookkeeping is complex, it really means that something is not right. Part of the district’s mission should be to provide Cambria with good-quality water at the best possible price. This venture with the laundromat does not seem to fit that criterion.
