Holy partisan gridlock, Batman! Is the habit of rabid and unending zerosum-gamesmanship that seems to have subverted Congress at the federal level now going to blight our own Board of Supervisors? From the recent letters supporting Debbie Arnolds first official movement (to block Supervisor Gibsons chairship), especially Mr. Richard Placaks in a recent edition of The Tribune (Jan. 13), I worry that it will.
We can only hope Supervisor Arnold comprehends that her constituency elected her to a higher purpose than unremitting confrontation of two particular colleagues, and that she acts accordingly.
