Lassen Volcanic National Park officials have waived entrance fees this weekend to encourage visitors to attend the park's film festival.
The long weekend at Lassen Park will conclude with free attendance Monday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, said Darlene M. Koontz, park superintendent.
The film festival celebrates the park's volcanic and geothermal features as well as wildlife, volcanoes, space exploration and several of California's state parks.
Daily showings begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center.
