A free workshop about public transportation in San Luis Obispo County is planned for 10 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 22 at Atascadero City Hall, 6907 El Camino Real.

Co-hosted by San Luis Obispo Regional Rideshare and the city of Atascadero Recreation Division, the event will show attendees how to find and use the local public transportation system to plan trips by bus, shuttle and Dial-a-Ride. The discussion will also show people where to find the tools needed to plan trips for commuting, traveling to special activities and running errands.

Applications for senior discount passes will also be available at the workshop for those age 65 and older.
