The Mortgage House, a mortgage banker with offices in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria and six other locations, recently underwent an approximate $40,000 remodel of its 5,000-square-foot office at 1131 Monterey St. in San Luis Obispo, according to Roxanne Carr, division president and co-founder of the firm. Among the changes: new carpeting, restructuring of some walls, exterior and interior painting.
The firm also extended its lease for three more years with several options to renew, Carr said, adding that it has been in the SLO location for more than 10 years.
The Mortgage House employs 27 people in its San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria offices, she said.
New team members include the returning Jimela Bewley, Christy Chapman and Tanya Wormley and the addition of LuJean Arnold, Gina Armstrong and Jennie Schwarzkopf in San Luis Obispo and Linda Cook in Santa Maria. Also, Gail Anderson was promoted to funding supervisor, the company said.
The Mortgage House corporate office is in Woodland Hills.
