Accident slows Highway 101 North traffic in Pismo

UPDATE: Only minor injuries were reported in a two-car accident that slowed traffic Sunday afternoon on Highway 101 North in Pismo Beach, according to the CHP.

In the accident that occurred about 1:20 p.m., a sedan apparently was wedged under a truck against the median barricade. An ambulance, Cal Fire and CHP officials responded to the scene, but both lanes of traffic remained open.

ORIGINAL STORY: A two-car traffic accident is slowing northbound traffic at Highway 101 in Pismo Beach.

One sedan appears to be wedged under a truck in the median, a witness reported. An officer with the California Highway Patrol told The Tribune that an ambulance responded to the scene, but no other information was available at the time.

According to CHP’s website, the accident occurred about 1:20 p.m. Sunday.
