The Arroyo Grande High boys basketball team rebounded from a heartbreaking one-point loss at Atascadero on Wednesday night to win 45-35 at San Luis Obispo on Friday night in a PAC 7 game.

Matt Willkomm scored a game-high 16 points for the Eagles (13-6, 2-3 PAC 7).

Andrew Midyett had six points, and DeSean Scott, Cobe Williams and Brennan Rivera had five points apiece for Arroyo Grande.

David Thoresen and Carlton Schwoerer scored 11 apiece for San Luis Obispo (5-11, 1-3 PAC 7).

Mission Prep 57, Paso Robles 38

Andy Rowley scored 16 points, Quinton Adlesh had 14, and the Royals (11-6) used a 26-7 run over the second quarter to pull away from the visiting Bearcats.

Patrick Laird and Ian Stake added seven points each, and Tyler Baty had seven offensive rebounds for Mission Prep.

Matt Van Dyk led Paso Robles with 12 points.

St. Joseph 85, Atascadero 74

Robbie Berwick had 24 points, seven rebounds and eight assists for the Greyhounds (10-7, 3-1) in their loss to the Knights. 

Joe Johnson had 16 points and seven rebounds, Jared Stuedemann had 17 points and five rebounds, and Taylor Kim had eight points and eight rebounds for Atascadero.

Lompoc 55, Nipomo 44

Kaileb Melendez led the Titans with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists as the Titans lost their fourth consecutive game to start the Los Padres League season. 

Luke Nickelson added 18 points, four rebounds and three steals for Nipomo.

Santa Maria 73, Morro Bay 64

Luke Munds scored 28 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Pirates (7-10, 2-3 LPL) fell on the road.

Frank Molina added 12 points for Morro Bay.

Coast Union 67, Cuyama Valley 23

Allan Hernandez scored 14 points as the Broncos (10-10, 5-1 CVL) cruised at home.

Quinten Raethke added 13 points, seven assists, six rebounds and seven steals for Coast Union.

Orcutt Academy 82, North County Chr. 28

Blake Marchell had 10 points and six rebounds for the Crusaders in their loss to the Spartans (3-13). 

Nathan Cedillo had seven points, four assists and three steals, and Christian Wisberg had seven points for North County Christian (3-8).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

San Luis Obispo 51, Arroyo Grande 40

Erica Chandler had 15 points and five rebounds, Morgan Liebscher had 13 points and seven rebounds and the Tigers (9-8, 3-1 PAC 7) defeated the Eagles for the first time in 10 years, according to coach Dan Monroe.

Jessica Judge added eight points and 10 rebounds for San Luis Obispo, which has now matched its win total from a season ago with nine games remaining in the regular season.

St. Joseph 63, Atascadero 30

The Greyhounds fell to St. Joseph after losing Mary Kate Evans, the team’s leading scorer and rebounder, who is out for the season recovering from a foot injury. Evans has already signed to play collegiately at Cal Poly.

Maddie Leong and Camille LeBlanc each had six points for Atascadero (10-4, 2-2 PAC 7).

Morro Bay 51, Santa Maria 12

Hannah Gilbert led Morro Bay (11-3, 5-0 LPL) with 23 points in its win against Santa Maria. 

Jerrica Crosby had seven points and five assists, Caitlyn Cowardin had five points and six rebounds and Sierra Schwellenbach had five assists and five rebounds for Morro Bay.

Templeton 51, Cabrillo 37

Marissa Torres had 16 points and four assists for the Eagles (13-3, 3-1 LPL) in their win against the Conquistadores. 

Mari Stewart had 11 points, 15 rebounds and five assists, and Autumn Russell had 11 rebounds and seven points for Templeton.

Nipomo 46, Lompoc 26

Tess Lattimer had 13 points to lead the Titans (10-8, 3-1 LPL) on the road.

Peyton Maas had 11 points, and Mercedes Rodriguez added nine for Nipomo

Coast Union 31, Cuyama Valley 26

Roxy Mertens scored a game-high 17 points to go with 10 rebounds, seven steals and six assists for the Broncos in a home win.

Crystal Nunez added six points, nine rebounds and five steals for Coast Union (5-5, 4-1 CVL).

Katla Hascaue led Cuyama Valley with nine points.

BOYS SOCCER

Paso Robles 2, Mission Prep 1

Daniel Viramontes and Juan Pino scored for the Bearcats in their win over the Royals.

Carson Barker had an assist, and Elmer Solis had three saves in goal for Paso Robles (7-6-2).

Jack Mooney scored for Mission Prep (3-12-2) off Bailey Hunterford’s assist.

Atascadero 4, Saint Joseph 1

Cedric Cordey scored twice for the Greyhounds in their road win over the Knights. 

Eduardo Damerano and Raul Lopez also had goals for Atascadero, and Triston Ioppini and David Ramirez each had an assist.

David Hernandez had four saves for the Greyhounds (7-7-1, 2-2 PAC 7).

GIRLS SOCCER

Mission Prep 2, Paso Robles 1

Sydney Rathjens and Annabelle Scott scored unassisted goals for the Royals as they defeated the Bearcats at home.

Grace Oscer had five saves in goal for Mission Prep (9-3-1).

Saint Joseph 4, Atascadero 0

The Greyhounds (8-7-1, 0-4) fell to the Knights at home.
