Men’s basketball player Palmen Hristov and women’s basketball player Aria Johnson are the Cougars’ athletes of the month for December.

An all-Western State Conference forward last season, Hristov leads the Cougars with 15.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. He also leads the team in minutes played.

Johnson, a former Morro Bay High standout, was named to three all-tournament teams in December. 

She leads the team with 14.2 points per game and is shooting 47.2 percent the field. She also has a team-high 51 steals and a team-high 16 blocked shots.
