“Start Spreading the News” is the chosen theme for this summer’s California Mid-State Fair, set for July 17 to July 28.
Fair officials collaborated with Cal Poly’s Advanced Fair Management class on creating the theme, which was announced this week.
The idea, based on celebrating the “early days of news print to today’s world of viral media” will be part of the fair's marketing materials, building displays and public competitions, according to a statement.
The Cal Poly Fair Management Program is part of the Agribusiness Department and began in 1965.
