I watch a lot of TV news, and in the last few weeks I’ve heard a lot of blather from talking heads and a lot of chin-music from politicians about how to get out of the financial cesspool that our country is in. I haven’t heard anyone mention what should be the first cut: lowering our military budget to what the Pentagon is asking for.

And in two months, we can do it all again, since the Republican Party is comprised of a life form that doesn’t believe in government or governing.
