In Bob Cuddy’s recent column “Tilt-A-Whirl supervisors now are pro-growth,” he states:  “If you fear out-of-control growth, or dwindling drinking water supplies, as many environmentalists do ...”

Some people in North County see their neighbors’ wells going dry and are concerned their own homes will be worthless if the groundwater basin under them dries to the extent that even digging a deeper well will not find water. I don’t think those people are what you would normally dismiss as “environmentalists.”
