Cuesta women's basketball team crushes Lassen

Miriam Zabinsky had 20 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds to lead the Cuesta College women's basketball team (12-7) to an 83-48 win over Lassen on Saturdfay in its final game before the Western State Conference schedule begins.

Courtney Chadwick also scored 20 points for the second consecutive game, and Aria Johnson had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Cuesta (12-7) , which held a 48-12 lead at halftime.

Amanda Legault had 10 points and five rebounds, and Alyssa Palma had seven points and six assists for the Cougars, who will travel to Moorpark on Wednesday to face the Raiders in their WSC opener.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

Reedley 67, Cuesta 47

Seven Cougars, including three starters, were out because of injury in the loss to Reedley.

Jeremy Landenbergue had 14 points, and Mohamed Ali 

Ben Ammar had 12 for Cuesta (13-8), which starts conference play on Wednesday at Moorpark.
