Cambria Citizen of the Year for 2012 Marcelle Bakula will be honored for her outstanding service and dedication to the community at the Cambria Chamber of Commerce annual banquet on Jan. 15 at the Cambria Pines Lodge.
For more than two decades, Bakula has given her time to support many local causes, including the Lions Club, Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, Greenspace The Cambria Land Trust, Pacific Wildlife Care, Cambria Youth Athletic Association, the Cambria Historical Society, the Teen Center and the Cambria Chamber of Commerce Festival of Trees.
New chamber officers will also be installed into office at the dinner.
Newly elected members Maleika Lacy and Sue Robinson will join re-elected incumbents Fidel Figueroa, George Marschall and Michael Thompson on the board of directors.
Returning to complete their terms are Mel McColloch, Steve Kniffen, Brittany Hensley and Christopher Brazelton. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
The menu features prime rib, grilled chicken or salmon. Tickets are $45. RSVPs are requested by Friday, Jan. 4.
