Cal Poly Rose Parade float wins laughs and a trophy

Cal Poly Universities’ float ‘Tuxedo Air’ took home the Bob Hope Trophy for the most comical and amusing entry Tuesday at the 124th Rose Parade in Pasadena.

The float — a joint endeavor by students from the San Luis Obispo and Pomona campuses — featured a team of penguins preparing to launch one of their own into flight with the help of a propeller-powered wing.
