Having heard the National Rifle Association’s suggested solution to gun violence, it dawned on me how simple and brilliant it is. Using these same simple principles, we can, perhaps, solve many of the problems that plague our society.

Pileup on Highway 101? We need more cars.

Winter flu epidemics? We need more viruses.

Industrial accidents? We need more dangerous machines.

Brain damage in football players? We need more vicious impacts. The list is potentially endless. I’m sure you can supply your own solution. We can implement these strategies and then, like the NRA, go on with our lives secure, in the knowledge that we are real problem solvers.
