The Pismo Beach Home Instead Senior Care staff would like to thank The Tribune for helping to get the word out about our ninth annual “Be a Santa to a Senior” program.
We’d also like to thank Elias Nimeh of the San Luis Obispo Senior Nutrition Program, the Central Coast and Nipomo Senior Centers, Davies & Glenn Fiduciaries, and RSVP for their assistance in identifying seniors in need as well as handling many deliveries.
Some of our wonderful helpers were the offices of Doctor’s Leopold, Murphy and Main, Walmart of Arroyo Grande, The San Luis Surgery Center, and last, but definitely not least, KSBY TV.
Once again, the residents of our community have shown their generosity and thoughtfulness, and made our holiday community service program a success.
Thank you to our county Board of Supervisors: Adam Hill, Paul Teixeira, Frank Mecham, Bruce Gibson and James Patterson for proclaiming Nov. 12 “Be a Santa to a Senior” Day.
The donations and efforts of our community have made sure 162 seniors in need, who may have been overlooked, have received 543 gifts and companionship this holiday season. We could not have done it without every single one of you.
