Kyle Odister matched a career high with four 3-pointers, finishing with 14 points to help the Cal Poly men’s basketball team erase an 11-point deficit in a 58-48 Big West Conference-opening win at UC Riverside on Saturday.
Reese Morgan had nine points and eight rebounds for the Mustangs (5-6, 1-0), who outscored the Highlanders 30-9 over the final 15 minutes of play.
Chris Eversley, Cal Poly’s leading scorer, had just seven points on 3-for-10 shooting to go with five rebounds. Jamal Johnson and Brian Bennett added six points apiece for the Mustangs, who return home to face Long Beach State on Friday at 7 p.m. at Mott Gym.
