County schools superintendent Julian Crocker recently “grimaced” at the suggestion of an armed officer at every school site, saying, “We’re trying to get the guns out of schools.” Local Rev. Caroline Hall said in response to the armed guard suggestion, “The more guns we have, the more they’re going to be used for killing people.”

Is Crocker really that ignorant? Schools have been “gun-free” zones for years, and the kooks still show up with guns! Who doesn’t have one? The innocent folks, of course! Crocker is living in la-la land and cannot be trusted with doing anything serious about protecting our children.

I hope Rev. Hall is right about there being more killing — more killing of the criminals before they get to our innocent children and teachers!

As long as our leaders think like this and everybody falls in line with their way of thinking, you are going to have more tragedies such as Sandy Hook. God help us!
