Grover Beach offices closed

All Grover Beach city offices will be closed through New Year’s Day. Regular business hours will resume Jan. 2.

The Grover Beach Police Department will remain open, and public works crews will be available to respond to any weather-related emergency if necessary, according to a news release from the city.

Residents should continue to call 911 if there is an emergency. For nonemergency events, people are directed to call the Police Department’s business line at 473-4511.

The closure will save the city money, City Manager Bob Perrault said. City offices will be closed for seven working days, including three regularly scheduled holidays and one furlough day.

Employees will use personal leave time to cover the three remaining work days during that period.

The City Council will hold only one meeting next month, on Jan. 14. In February, the regular council meeting schedule will resume, with meetings on the first and third Mondays of the month.
