Thoma defended

San Luis ObispoDecember 24, 2012

Adam Hill has complete disregard for Bill Thoma and other business owners who want to change the location of the Homeless Services Center. The group that stands with Thoma is comprised of business people who are established near the proposed site. Thoma has taken the lead, and many are grateful for his reasonable voice. We have dealt with the issues for years.

Hill’s efforts to channel this project in an underground way should be embarrassing to him, the county and the city. It is because of Thoma and others that facts have come to light that are unacceptable.

None of us are against the homeless; we have helped them on the streets in front of our businesses, yet we also endure the constant degradation of our properties. It is imperative that we find a way to help the displaced families with children who need stability. We feel that there is a better location.

The Tribune is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
